Return to in person worship

Return to in-person worship -
this Sunday

As lockdown continues to ease in England, the PCC has considered how to reopen church buildings in a safe and secure way. This suggested worship pattern is an interim arrangement to help get back in to the buildings, and there will be further readjustments as the situation evolves in the coming months. We have tried to accommodate as many people as possible but realise that we can’t please everyone. Thank you for your continuing support and understanding.

At present, we will be operating with the same restrictions as in the autumn, with distanced seating, masks to be worn, sanitising of hands, and no singing, but we will await any further guidance from the Church of England and Diocese of Chester with regards lifting of these restrictions. Currently. you won't need to book to come to a service, but we'll communicate that if it does need to change.

The pattern for the coming weeks will be as follows:

News from Revds Jim and Jenny Bridgman

The following announcement was made in all acts of worship this morning:

Following a process of discernment, prayer and interviews, Revd Jim Bridgman has been invited by Bishop Mark to take up the post of Rector of Tarporley in the Chester Archdeaconry. Jim has accepted this invitation, which is subject to the completion of legal formalities. This means that in the coming months, probably over the summer, Jim and Jenny, Ben, Caitlin and Emily, will be moving from Timperley to begin a new season of life and ministry in Tarporley. Jenny will continue her part-time role at Church House, while studying for a Professional Doctorate in Practical Theology at Chester University, exploring other opportunities for ministry as they arise.

We know this news may come as a shock. We are confident of God's guidance in this new season and we are excited about the new opportunities it presents. However, Timperley has been more than a home to us - the place where we formed as a family - and we are still coming to terms with the prospect of saying goodbye to the many dear friends we have known here. There will be new and exciting opportunities for Timperley Parish in the months ahead, and we are confident that God will continue to guide and shape ministry here beyond our time.

However, we are not leaving yet, there is work still to be done, and we look forward to continuing that work in the weeks ahead as we continue to partner with you in ministry here. Thank you for your prayers.

Jim and Jenny

Return to in-person worship -
this Sunday

As lockdown continues to ease in England, the PCC has considered how to reopen church buildings in a safe and secure way. Over the next few weeks, we will be gradually returning to worship in the two church buildings, whilst also continuing to make some provision available for worship online, via Zoom, which many have enjoyed over the past few months.

This suggested worship pattern is an interim arrangement to help get back in to the buildings, and there will be further readjustments as the situation evolves in the coming months. We have tried to accommodate as many people as possible but realise that we can’t please everyone. Thank you for your continuing support and understanding.

Currently. you won't need to book to come to a service, but we'll communicate that if it does need to change.

Please note that for the next two weeks, the service on Zoom is at 11am.

The pattern for the coming weeks is attached.

9th May to the 30th May will be 9.30am services at Holy Cross and 11am services at Christ Church.
